I understand it will take some time to integrate TW into the company structure so probably we won't’ see anything changing there, but after the dust settles and TW is fully integrated into AT&T can we expect layoffs in the acquired parts of the company? I can bet that the leadership has some sort of restructure in mind.

Functional commonality in IT systems like HR/Payroll, Corporate Real Estate, vehicles, may merge depending upon whether they are on the same platform as T, such as Oracle. If not, it will take longer. But that will eliminate workers. There could be datacenter consolidation, migration to cloud environment, worker outsourcing to IBM or offshore.
Can't tell if it's going to be T or TW that takes the hit. T often adopts the systems used by the acquired company, not ours. Who knows this time.
I am just sad I can't hit up Don Lemmon, CNN, in the Q chat. Love that guy.
But there will be other layoffs not related to the merger. April....not all groups but if your organization wasn't hit in January, batter up and get ready.
Per Stephens analyst meeting yesterday there are no immediate plans to change that business at the worker bee level. Right now it is mostly duplicated staff functionality. In fact he mentioned the CFO position. Stephens is still here so obviously he was not odd person out.
