S---ing up to the boss will get you no where.

Work to the middle of the metrics-for when they flip the glass you're still in the middle.
Stop with the corporate kool aid of collaboration, teams, mentors, leaders, nano degrees, badges.
None of that matters.
You're goal should be that your 2nd level and above have zero idea what your name is. Who you are.
Divorce yourself emotionally from work.
Be on time, every day, do a good job. Get every directive by email or Q.
