Last Thursday was rough for the Verizon Connect world. Many great people got let go from departments that directly work with our customers. All while the motto is putting customers first, yet the company will run leaner and have unmanageable workloads. Leaders who helped bring the company to where it is, let go. For some, they have long legacy tenures, as did I, who was part of the cut. Wanted to say a sincere thank you to any who read this, and were part of successful growth and now impacted. In ten years we built great companies, that are now changed for better or WORSE. The show will go on. Good luck to you all in the next chapter.

I'm currently still with Connect in their BDR role, I wonder if layoffs will soon take more of us out in SD office. We were spared besides 2 MPs in our part of the office, but I know other BDRs like in Chicago's office got let go. I wonder how long we have before the axe comes for us here?!?!
Hearing more cuts are coming to Connect within the next 30 days.
Any one in Verizon Connect left should be very concerned. When we do not show YOY growth, especially after 5G and the IOT push begins, it will be even worse.
People could take either the 2 week standard, or 3 week offer if they agree to never apply again. Solutions managers received this, and they were not part of the VSP, so this is new.
My understanding is that any involuntary RIFs done through the end of June also get the enhanced package.
1-fsa, they only get the enhanced offer if the original VSP was made to them back in September. Was it?
Feel bad for you guys, but at least you get the enhanced offer. A bit more of a buffer when looking for a new job.
Yes, they worked in Tampa, Chicago, San Diego, Boston, Phoenix and Austin.
Dis.......Connect......
I am sorry to hear this. Good luck to you and all those impacted by this layoff.
Don't like layoffs. But if you're in a bisuness unit built around a product, and the Swedish Chef announces a new org structure built around customer type, the writing was on the wall.
sorry to hear job losses resulted in bad decisions by previous management like Marni
I don't know what Verizon Connect did and never met anyone involved. Did that group work in separate offices?
