Over 200 hundred positions cut at Verizon Connect. Some functional groups moving over to Verizon Corp (sourcing, training), and many others just cut. This leadership team continues to make wild changes, but nothing they do seem to produce anything positive. There is a reason why all the leaders from legacy companies have left.

Always wondered how this part of vz was profitable. All the telematics reps in San Diego just played foosball all day, they bragged that they made mad cash without doing much work.
VZC cut very little regarding sales reps
VZC sales teams gone. FiOS teams ate next.
Please lay off the Hum!!! Send it packing!
So is there no such thing any more? Sales teams etc?
It is very unfortunate, but it was a ticking time bomb, Verizon connect. Another one of Marni's inherited special projects. The Hum product is horrible ! The group has lost major automotive companies where Verizon once was the leader. That position has slowly eroded to the point we only have grandfathered automotive accounts. The group moved on to purchase Fleetmatics to boost their numbers, and again, that has been a slow spiral of death. When Verizon buys something it will eventually die on the vine. It is a curse of death, a Verizon purchase. It is a shameful that we eroded our position in the industry to our position as a me to player struggling to hold on to any accounts. It doesn't surprise me that there were lay offs. I wish them well, but it well past the time action should have taken place.
