Jeff must have forgotten he promised to follow up with us regarding the questions he received for his town hall. What a BUM. Without filtering through the questions he could have guessed each one and had a question / answer response sent within minutes of the town hall ending. Jeff, you are a BUM. You are not as transparent like you claim to be.

A collegue had a round table with his manager, Fea. He had no answers about future surplus, said he had no input about those that were surplused on 1/28. Still no direct statement regarding telecommuting. You have to feel sympathy for folks at this level if they are truly being left in the dark like us. It is amazing that these decisions are being made by people at levels so far removed from the work. It strongly suggests the algorithm used for selection in part is descrimination of some sort.

If you have to surplus folks, fine, but be honest about it. As has been stated many times, in absence of a clear message from anybody, we really don’t know what the future plans are for a surplus, telecommuting, etc.

I sure hope the clowns reading the VPN report know what they are looking at and really cross referencing the badge swipe report. There are many of us that require all day use of VPN when working from the office so that we can reach servers that we support.

It was suggested that when in the office we disconnect from VPN when we are not actively using it. You have got to be kidding me.

I posted this on another thread but felt it would be appropriate here.

Verizon 2018 Net Income - $15 billion

No. of employees - 144,500

Net Income per employee - $104,000

T 2018 Net Income - $19 billion

No. of employees - 273,210

Net Income per employee - $70,000

For T to achieve the same income as Verizon, they need to reduce employees to 183,000.

I’m under Donovan/Johnson, GSC. We lost quite a few on this last round. Middle management was blindsided, and shocked at those chosen. Many knowledgeable co workers received a surplus notice. It’s all about numbers, and not how well the business can function afterwards. Keep an eye on hubs and get in the office(hub) at least 3 days a week. Rumor is next round that will be the evaluation criteria. Good luck all!

I’m in ATO. I expect to see some re-org notices in March, lay-off notifications late April. Off payroll end of 2nd Qtr.

Was told by a director that if 1Q and 2Q numbers don’t look good (and we know they won’t) next round will be July.

I'm under Donovan/Arroyo. We just lost 10% (of about 60) and we heard another was coming mid year. Our SVP wanted to have only one "surplus event" this year. Well I just heard the date was moved up and it looks like our number is just over 15% of those remaining. So 25% in six months.

I pulled numbers from org charts in my enterprise vault and we've lost 60% in the past 7 years. That's as far back as I can go with documentation; however, based on numbers that I remember, we've lost about 75% in 15 years.
