Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How long will they tolerate me not making my number of memberships?

This is the second month that I’m under the number o new memberships my manager expects me to get. I’m getting worried. How long do you think he will tolerate me not making the demanded numbers and can I be surprised by being laid off or is the manager try to discuss the situation with me?

Even if you drive around jotting down names to call when you get back to the club.

You sound like you’re overcomplicating it.

A win is a win. If you get 1 membership out of a cold call it will give you more ideas on other places to stop by. Go out with a membership associate for the day and make it fun. The $45 off basket offer is more than enough for you to be racking up potentials and new members.

You should be focusing your energy when you’re out in the field on finding another job while getting paid on Sam’s time because I feel your passion about your job but working for a heartless company like Sam’s you’re a hero today and zero tomorrow. Use your time wisely on the road and start looking for new jobs you can walk in and scope out great places that will hire you for double your worth.

Cold calls! Trust me!

Book strong appointments during focus week and after the appointments have your field team meet up to cold call until you hit your daily goal.

Schools, hospitals, office buildings, furniture stores, car dealerships, gas station c stores, ice cream shops, nursing homes, donut shops, hotels, auto shops.. there should be lists on your local chamber’s website with the businesses who are chamber members you can also reach out to.

SIF I'm assuming? Ask him, your manager, if he can go out in the field with you so you can observe the best way to get a membership and so that you can get additional hands on training because you want to hit your metrics to help your club.

He might freak out since managers don't go in the field and half of the time they don't know how to help at self checkout.

So what you should do, I can't remember the name of the report, but run that report with all the businesses expiring or expiring and make note saying you went there, here, everywhere and any new places to show you are going. You can't force anyone to sign up. SIF is a waste of money in certain markets.
