I got this position through hard work. I started as a contractor and jumped contracting companies. Got noticed by ATT Management and they offered me a job. I was thankful for the stability. Been here a few years. Learned the ropes. Gained responsibility.
However, I've never been thrilled about telecom work. I used to enjoy learning the job but now I feel
myself being squashed beneath the boot of beareaucracy and inadequacy.
Lack of effort from colleagues, dealing with other "SILOS" AKA people who don't want to do their jobs, lack of effective knowledge transfer from older employees for older systems and processes, and growing responsibility in the face of a hostile corporate environment while not getting a real f---ing raise and no hope for a promotion.
I want to learn again and have some f---ing passion.
