Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Will the mall stores be the first to close?

Next moves will be store closings especially malls .. no retail company wants to be in malls anymore... malls are dying off... all retail stores will end up sold to indirects with a few select corporate stores kept in larger areas. It’s happened in other wireless retailers the last few years already.

This makes sense, I admit, but I’m certainly hoping that @XDaiitE-5xfh got this wrong, given that I work at a store at a mall. Any other opinions on this?

Stores close when the mall closes. Google dead malls.

Ours have been replaced by shopping centers, open air.

Amazon killed brick and mortar stores. I can not think of the last time I have been in a store.

The future will be agents and on line .
