uhhhhh don't know who told you that it was illegal for a company to prevent you from posting your salary... Not only is it stupid . And a bad idea. The company can and should terminate people for doing it. Annnnddddd there's nothing illegal about it.
well you can easily look up what any union employee makes. all the collective bargaining contracts and pay scales are right on the corporate web

Band 6 data analyst, Basking Ridge, 115k + 20% bonus. Coming from the outside today, I would probably start at 130-140.
Wireline tech ops. 18 years, 51 per hour plus everything else that comes with contract, 4 percent 401k, around 3 percent bonus, 1 month of vacations....and no layoff clause....
Does it make a difference in your life OP to know what others make? Like seriously why should this matter to you? If you're feeling that you are underpaid then maybe that is a discussion you should have with your leadership or maybe you should start looking elsewhere. On that note, "None ya" comes to mind.
