Enormous debt, lack of vision, a clueless leadership, problems from converting into a media company, losing subscribers… The chances that AT&T will be a company that overcomes its problems are getting slimmer and slimmer. The ones that were laid off in this wave will find new jobs, some easier some harder, some will find better jobs, some won’t... But I doubt that any of the recently cut workers will go to a failing company as AT&T could become. As for the rest of us, who stayed, we are going into a period of great fear, uncertainty, and agony when things tighten up.

Yeah. I can sympathize. Clearly some very arrogant but clueless executives are ruining a company that was once a standard bearer for generations. All the blue chips have been s---ed dry by greedy executives mouthing nonsense about shareholder value. GE, IBM, AT&T, they are all either shadows of their former selves or on their way to that status.
