Unless you are unlucky be thrown in as collateral damage to avoid age discrimination lawsuits, basically these are the elements you need to have to be absolutely safe from being laid off in this round. I have nothing against younger workers, or for that matter, nothing against any people with these characteristics, but it’s sad that these have become the only criteria for keeping your job and not excellence, work ethics , devotion, or experience.

Another age discrimination troll post. Nice touch with the you're "absolutely safe" unless "you are unlucky" and they lay you off.
In an pffice only worth layoff points if it is a collaboration zone. Over 40 is another point for each year above that and high earner is double points against you. Ethics, performance etc are points off. NANO degrees are worth nothing.
No one below a 3rd level should ever feel safe. 2 folks under 40 got hit in my group and one is the top performer. Go figure
The problem is, you will be over 40 at some point. Might as well jump ship early for somewhere that longevity is possible.
What happens if your over 40, working at an office, and a big earner?
Don’t wait, the time will never be just right.

@bxq - you are a smart person. don't wast your life at att because you are nothing to them. I wish I did when I was younger I had some opportunities that I did not take and I wasted my time at att.
AND...... jammed in a cattle like cages in a call center Bangalore style.. you are definitely safe .. let the slaughter begin
I meet these criteria. I'm planning on leaving within a month of my 401K reaching it's vest date, which is this summer. I don't want to waste my life in this environment.
