We'll find out in their post-employment interview on "60 Minutes" and the movie where they will reprise their current roles in a dramatic tragi-comedy where everyone loses. (Note all characters are real and are not fictitious. No animals were injured during the making of this film, however, tens of thousands of hard working employees were, in fact, harmed.) Debt - its the american way. there was no need to buy dtv. it was purely ego. they could of taken that money and slowly invested into uverse and started to make fiber pervasive. that could of set the stage for streaming and it would of been reliable and fast with fiber. they had to power to jump ahead with fiber and offer some outrageous speeds to customers but they decided on staying a wireless company and using unreliable satellites.
but randy and the johns are laughing all the way to the bank and they could care less.

Finally the street is learning what we at AT&T have known about our "leadership" for some time. I can't conceive of thinking that $180B in debt would a good thing unless you had just done a line of coke that stretched from Dallas to El Segundo.
