Do they even plan to, or will they be changing bit by bit in the process? Maybe they will just keep laying people off. In any case, it would be valuable info for the workers, as it would be easier to figure out where the redundancies are when we know the new shape of the company.

After the bankruptcy filing.
They are not telling us anything so they can manage by flavor of the day. Keeping you guessing is an added torture to that ride to the collaboration zone game. If you don't tell folks what direction we are going, then they can't be blamed when we don't get there
I see AT&T as two competing businesses. Wireline telephone, Uverse telephone (over wire, fiber), copper and fiber internet, and Uverse TV and other TV over internet.
Meanwhile, there is wireless home phone, cell phone, and ($64K question), wireless 5G internet.
If bandwidth improves to the point that they can get rid of these ridiculous data caps, then I could see a divestiture of wireline/fiber assets, and wireless assets. They would need a competitive wireless internet offering.

Waiting with anticipation to see what Jeffrey Freshy has to say in his town hall tomorrow. Anyone notice there is no option to attend in person? I don't recall ever seeing a town hall event not allow guests to attend in person.
Strange how Candy Man, Skanky Legs and the John's (I love this reference to these mo--ns) are out in front taunting T-Mobile and Verizon when they think they have the advantage but when it comes to running the business into the ground they are no where to be seen or heard. No. AT&T will never allow those who are about to laid off to know this fact. AT&T needs you 24/7/365 until they decide they don't. There is no team, there is no collaboration.
The C-suites have gone all in a media business that they have no experience in. They seem convinced that they can apply their "World Class Cost Structure" to every thing they touch.

First off, AT&T doesn't care about informing their workers because they don't care about their workers to begin with.
Secondly, they want to keep this all under the radar. Don't need anyone questioning what Randall did with his Trump tax cut windfall and how all those new jobs never materialized, unless you count India and Slovakia.
Thirdly, management is generally clueless anyway. The band keeps playing as they steer this boat dead on for a giant iceberg.
