Cwa district 4 bargaining report 13 Feb 2019

February 13th, 2019

Fighting Today…Focused on the Future!

The Union, once again REJECTEDthe Company’s “revised final offer”. The CWA District 4 Midwest Bargaining Committee met yesterday with AT&T in formal session to exchange proposals on some of the remaining open items.

The Union Committee passed proposals on Article 16 (Benefits), Appendix A19 (Employment Security Commitment), Appendix A20 (Extended Employment Opportunity Period) and a new Memorandum of Agreement on Employment and Strong Communities.

The Committee continues to work on the remaining issues and plan on passing additional proposals this week.

We will do whatever it takes to make progress towards a fair agreement.

Thank you for your continued support of this bargaining team.

“Now would be a good time to go on strike...while they are in the middle of a management layoff.”

Exactly yes it would be a perfect time to strike. It would be the ultimate sh-- show to behold I tell you.

There is nobody else anywhere to step in to do the work, nobody! No trained reserve workforce blablabla. Not even before mangers started getting chopped. Those that say otherwise don’t do the work and obviously have no clue, but like to think they do. They’re called physchopaths. We seem to like to promote those guys.

AT&T and all corporations are union busting, shiping work overseas based on globalist neocon/liberal policies of one world government. we keep supporting democrats with our dues but none are fighting for the american worker, Trump is, why are we not supporting the first pro labor president we've had in a long time!?!? Want a national audience for our plight!?!?! go to Trump. you get him talking about it it's front and center in everyone's living room or keep supporting politicians lining their pockets with bezos and soros money who could care less about american hardships!!!!

Ive always wondered why the union didn't keep job the security clause and pension benefits for new hires? Seems to me that would have kept the incentive to belong to the union. Why join or support? Didn't the union see this ?..........

Because if they did when they suggest it is agreed on 2 months from now that would look bad:

So what exactly are we doing to achieve a fair contract? The workers authorized a strike. Why are we not doing rolling strikes? Anything to let the company know we are fighting and to bring public awareness of the situation at this place.

Doing nothing is not working.
