Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Negative consequences

If anyone has been listening to the big boy briefings it has been stated that as some projects get completed the plans are to use that budget money to pay down debt. Who in their right mind believes that if they meet the 2nd quarter target on the fiber build there will not be negative consequences for that organization? Probably be negative consequences if they don’t meet it as that money has already been promised to the Street. They will go to the plan B contingency on cutting.

Well said, @Xz02Piv-fkx.

Managers get surplused just like craft. Quit crying about it, managers sit around all day not working while everyone else is keeping the company running. Go get a job somewhere else. We don’t need you here.

When you start scrolling over all the posts in a particular Thread, on occasions you might come across posts that all sound similar that makes you think just one person wrote them all....this one qualifies.

It really s@cks that people with strong work ethics have to behave this way, but that's the situation we find ourselves in. This company will work you to exhaustion, have you train your Indian replacement slave, and then kick you to the curb. So h#ll with them.

Basic office skills, never come in under budget. A difficult thing to do sometimes if you are a responsible, hard working person trying to do the right thing.

There is a strategy hidden here. Never allow any project you work on to come in under budget or before it is due. Needless to say this requires teamwork because an individual would expose themselves to sanctions for attempting to slow a project by themselves. That having been said people can collectively engage in teamwork that is in the interest of the team but contrary to the interests of the executive vultures that can't wait to can teams to enhance their ill-gotten executive bonuses. Be creative. Undermine their phony authority any way practical. This is warfare and the executive crowd has been winning. It's high time the tide is turned. Undermine, undermine, undermine. With humor, with solidarity, by any means necessary. Your family and your interests deserve more than these leaches are willing to give you. Fight back.

That is what conglomerates do, quick absorption of assets, for later defecation of the residuals.
