Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATO development coach extinction

First, if you have to ask “what does ATO stand for?” This has nothing to do with you.

Second, if you were lucky enough to survive in this role your time is up! Time to brush up on getting those qualities and safety visits in in time or brush up on the interview skills.

What does ATO mean? ATO has flair badges like servers in a bar/restaurant.

Ha...development coach. Like the once "TDMs" Training/Development managers.

Or the MSOC "coaches"?

Where are they now?

Keep talking about that and "collaboration" and "team". Career Path." And awards and badges and nano degrees and WFH and all the other corporate BS.

It's a job.

You work, they pay. Simple.

They'll toss you away as quickly as an empty printer cartridge or busted butt set.

Some of you folks just don't get it.

You mean zero, NADA, nothing to corporate.

39 years in...I'll say no more.

Well. My org hired a guy from Atlanta who was laid off in the November round. He moved form Atlanta to the Chicago area in December. So it must work for someone

Doesn't matter if you're a surplus employee or current employee, You still will not get an interview unless you know the hiring manager. They say the company offers additional benefits to help find a replacement job and you're put at the top of the list when you are in surplus status, HAHA!

True statement by @cww. I was surplussed last October and applied to many openings in Career Path and not one single interview. Once you flagged as surplus what makes you think the company wants to keep you? Those jobs in CP are a joke as many already have a candidate and they have to post it for formality. Focus on external jobs. Good luck! It’s tough out there.

Good Luck in finding another job in Career Path. That system is rigged so those who are surplussed will not get interviews. Concentrate on careers outside of AT&T.
