Office consolidation is being done everywhere. They will probably lay off workers in those zones, but they will also convert them to open office plans where they can stuff more workers in smaller spaces.
The only thing I see in my crystal ball is consolidation of payroll and HR functions. Currently there is a economic firewall between TW and the rest of AT&T. Until that appeal of the merger go-ahead is resolved, I expect that economic firewall to continue.
