You do realize the $1,000 bonus was really an advance on your raise? They cut the raise % by 1% and paid people $1,000 instead. It's a shell game.
I agree, I want the layoffs to be big news....as big as the $1000 bonus they paid last Xmas at least. They have proven to be very adept at keeping them off the radar.

Good to see the layoffs getting visibility. The "stealth layoff" approach used by AT&T over the last few years is despicable. If you have to lay off employees, give them a good severance package at least (like Verizon).
