For Sure, Hans is a piece of garbage certainly worthy of the Purge.
Already cutting costs and getting SG&A down, so shareholders will probably be happy about that. Verizon is to T-Mobile as American is to Southwest. There's a long way to go when it comes to trimming the headcount and aligning the compensation structure to its peers, and then there's stuff like the whole Oath properties and content c-ap like Tumblr that's just nothing but a drain on cash flow when everyone but Disney is having their butts handed to them by Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google and the next five years is a life or death battle for survival.
Verizon is like Sears in 1991. #1, a huge portfolio of barely related businesses, fat margins, and a bunch of competition that can survive on razor thin margins. It needs to get lean fast, cut out the fat and overpaid, become agile and rapid, and figure out how the hell it remains relevant and competitive in the 5G landscape whatever the hell that turns out to be.
Realistically, if the Big 4 telecoms in the US got together and decided, we don't need stores anymore, and outsourced all call centers to India, they'd save a c-apton on leases and overhead, and they'd probably be okay. Companies like MagicJack have been doing precisely this for nearly 20 years.
