Those who have been denied, what's your next move? I'm still trying to decide...

I have been also denied promotions, been told I do not have brand new technology that no one in our company has mastered yet. I was going to contact an attorney if I am also too valuable to let leave...glad they accepted. As a matter of fact, I may be not as valuable as OP you are. You are more deserving for a promotion!
I accepted VSP and was denied... is there anybody out there in the same situation? what can I do? is there a case for lawyer?
@ptw & @kfp - I feel for you... I was in very similar situation, but my management accepted and is allowing me to leave... the overall uptake in engineering was lower- 16%, so they needed the numbers.
I'm not sure what I'd do, other than push for what you want- there are promotions occurring as they reorg.

Getting denied and then getting the 3 week RIF package is only if you get RIFed before June 28th. By their rules they can deny you the 3 week package and then RIF you on June 29th and you'll get the standard package.
The good thing abt anyone that was denied , if they do riff you still get the 3 week package , so accept it as a blessing to keep working and still get the 3 weeks ... you still win in the long run 🤷🏾♂️
@ptw- I feel like you just wrote my story. Denied multiple promotions because I live in the wrong state but told I’m too valuable to let go to the VSP offer. This s---s.
To the person who lives in the "wrong state"- Cut 'em off! Collect that paycheck and do as little as you can get away with and still collect a check. That's basically the message they sent you. Doesn't sound like you work under someone worth conversing with.

Kjr... there were employees that accepted the VSP and were denied.
Curious, I you're convinced that you'll be rif'd next year, why didn't you take the VSP.
The only thing, I would add, is if they change the policy to 30 days vs 2 weeks per year, then find a new job, and get out of Dodge.
Just wait it out, there will be a RIF and we will be let go that way. For now ride the wave of a re-org and disorganization and use it to your benefit. Good Luck!
