Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Thought I was doing the “right-thing@ by not pressing the button...

Should have pressed the “button”, less than one-week after door closed my role was eliminated and I was reassigned to a lessor role. There was no discussion, simply “...this is what you’ll be doing...”. Second time in less than six months. It’s not just me either, other colleagues experiencing same uncertainty in role. Very disconcerting, for employees and customers. Per recent communication from Hans he added something about this VSP transition being seamless to customers. Just because you say so doesn’t make it so. I’m reeling after my recent announcement, and concerned for colleagues who did press the button. Hoping for best possible outcome for my colleagues.

If you are in IT, probably means you are not from the right village. At least that has been what I have seen way to frequently.

Pigs get slaughtered. You should have pushed the button.

Good point; did not fathom it could happen again. Understand now.

If it happened to you once already, why DIDN'T you press the button? That makes no sense.
