The H1B program is bull****. It needs to be shut done.
... and .... there's not a damn thing you can do about it other than cut out your cable subscriptions after you're forced out and broke
Go into any store. including electronics and motor vehicles. What do you see in there (other than curry powder, incense and cheap garments) that comes from India? So what kind of expertise are US companies hiring when they hire these Indian H1Bs? And at least in ATT they're not being hired for slave labor? It's no longer just IT, it's all white collar jobs. If you've ever had one of one of them it's a horror.

correction: I meant "higher" and not "hire" in this sentence:

US already has many STEM professionals who are getting laid-off, so no need to bring in H1-b employees into USA. One great point that this video discussed was we are not passing on the knowledge to college graduates from US but to an H1b employee who will take that knowledge home to their country instead of keeping the knowledge with a new college graduate from USA. Once that happens, the skill/knowledge is forever lost for a USA employee and now US is continuously and always dependent either on a foreign employee or a foreign country for that skill/knowledge.

AT&T cares more about treating American employees badly to line executives pockets than anything else. They allowed the abuse of a disabled person, ignored her years of complaints , then turned them over to her harassers to escalate the situation ,and lied in an EEOC hearing to cover their butts. This person was so severely harassed they could not safely come to work for a year. Never any remorse or compensation for what she went through.
