has anybody ever gotten any sort of definitive action from reporting something? I reported multiple incidents (anonymously through the website) and all I got were a few replies from them asking for more details, and then they went dark. What's the point?

I anon submitted about an AVP who was having parties at his house and inviting front line Team Members...he hooked up with this one girl and then ghosted her and spread rumors about her, to the point where she got so upset that she quit. They did NOTHING.
They should rename it, "The Career s---c-de" line.
Never call the ethics hotline directly go to the FBI and the newspapers.
I've never heard of anything positive coming from the Ethics Line, so I agree, pointless.
Ethics line is a way for company managers to find out if you have any critical information that could be damaging to the company. It’s been used to let good people go so be careful in reporting violations.
I’ve found it better to go to the OCC regulators. There was also a post about letting Senator Warrens office know of issues.
Whatever you do, be careful to cover your tracks because management will fire you for violating company rules. You may want to hire your own attorney to keep a buffer between you and the company and to conceal your identity.
They get to say they have an ethics line and sound all righteous in the press. Like "development plans". They get to say they care so much about employee development that every "team member" has a development plan. Meanwhile, they couldn't care less. They just want maximum productivity for minimum bucks

I agree. Totally do not trust the ethics line. Call and then be fired, as many have said. Yes, it has been confirmed, call the ethics line if you want to get fired from your job at Wells Fargo. That is a really BAD thing to do apparently. Through no fault of their own, reporting suspicious activity at the company. As if YOU were the one doing the wrong doing. Very fishy. I would tell my nice Managers if there was some issue though. At least the Managers I have there now who seem to be trustworthy, loyal, honest co-workers.
I couldn’t tell you..... After 15 plus years of documented cases of retaliation and HR sending people to the unemployment office I choose to not speak up. WF ethics is like an oxymoron. As long as any of the senior leadership is still in place I’ll pass. I get angry every time I hear some silly tag phrase like, “everyone is a risk manager” or anything to do with leadership. The heads don’t care and them giving lectures about leadership is an absolute insult. So after the biggest scandal in banking history where hundreds of thousands of people’s lives have been harmed They want to lecture us about leadership, corporate citizenship, or ethics? No, I think I’ll pass on that one,, they lost that argument long ago.
A person that I knew worked as a teller in a branch and money was missing from the cash drawer and she reported it by calling the ethics line and was fired the next day.
