Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Mandatory daily calls

Would HR give an ok for twice a day mandatory conference calls, even on days off, for not hitting sales metrics?

Honesty is not a crime, you probably learned as a kid that honesty is the best policy, But as an adult becomes a broader concept than the simple expectation that everyone should tell, Success Will Come and Go, But Integrity Is Forever. YET is Something this company does not have.

BUT It is the same pretty much everywhere you go.

Here is a perfect example of why AT&T is a horrible place to work . The manager's message below is very telling of an out of control , toxic company environment .

"Management can do anything they want, If you dont like it. Go somewhere else!"

Internal EEOC is just the Legal Dept in disguise, they don't care about YOU. They care about avoiding lawsuits. They covered up and facilitated the abuse of a disabled person , by managers no less. HR igonored it , internal EEOC took info so they tell they disabled person "that what was being done to her was really no big deal ", then they lied in and EEOC hearing. If they spent 1/2 as much money treating employees honestly and fairly , they wouldnt have all these cover up departments. HR is not on you side, internal EEOC is the legal dept documenting evidence to use against the employee.

If one is Union, there would be call-up pay due. If is is abusive, then a Union person can file a grievance.

I suspect this is a management only call, as supervisors are responsible for the results of their direct reports.

HR? Are you joking? Call the ethics line and open a case with Dept of Labor. Unless you are salary. If you are salary, this is all totally allowed.

HR cares very much about employees who possibly have the ability to bring a lawsuit so maybe?
