Had a meeting today in which I was informed nobody really knows yet who pushed and who didn’t. I’m curious if I should have said I pushed due to the fact that I was also told he doesn’t know if he’ll be part of the decision-making team or if it’ll be left to directors/ others.

Told my boss. Some of us are man enough to stand by our decisions.
So I spoke to my boss (an SM) today. I thought by now they knew. But NO, they have not been told and won't be told until 12/10 when we find out if we are out or not. I guess certain depts are handing things differently
Mine said not to tell her and if we have questions join the hr call. We had no meetings discussing it and nobody in my group speaks of it. It is a situation you dare to not bring it up. Just odd.
Of course I told my boss I had pushed the button. Just because it wasn’t required to let her know, it was the right thing to do!!!
They know, and they know your final date.
Any good manager would know who pushed the button by now. Our manager did not know directly so he started calling everyone to find out. If they do not know by now I can only assume they also pushed the button or they are not someone you should want to work for.
I been hoping I would get RIFed last year or so. Something about 25 years on the job.

The company has been good to me. I have a wife with MS. Managers have helped me by being flexible in my work hours. Our insurance is great.

I let my manager know the day I accepted VSP. At the end of the day no one at Verizon really gives a hoot if your staying or leaving unless they want your job.
I pushed the button a couple of weeks before the deadline and told my boss a few days later. Hopefully next Monday will bring me good news.
My managers are still playing stupid, but they know.
I clicked as well as my manager, senior manager and executive director. I told them my decision was in no way a reflection of them because they were very good to me. It was a consensus that we all have about 5-10 more years to work and we don't want to be in a sweatshop which is what some of these departments are about to come. I don't care how many replacement people hire and 'turnover' that occurs, you cannot replace the knowledge.

I let my boss know within a few days of pushing the button. He's a good manager, very fair, and has always treated me well. I felt that in good conscience he should know, but I did ask him not to tell anyone else at that time. He said he was still trying to decide if he was in a financial position to leave also. A week or two later, he told me he had pushed the button. And then three more people on our team pushed the button as well, so then we all confessed to each other that we had all decided to go. Of our team of ten, there are only four who plan to stay, and I worry for what it will be like for them.
They already know exactly who pushed. I saw an org chart for one dept and it didn't have any names of the people who took the offer.
I like my boss and he has always been good to me. I clicked early in the morning when the option became available and promptly forwarded the confirmation email over to him. I felt it was the honorable thing to do to help him know who he would/wouldn't have left to work with. I was quite surprised however when a few minutes later he responded. "ME TOO!!" :-)
My manager knew who had clicked, our director communicated it down to all the managers. Manager called those who had clicked to ask if there was anything they could do to get us to unclick.

Unless you despise your boss/job you should of told them. VZ has been and will continue to be a good gig. I told mine as soon as I was sure.
I’m not sure if my manager knew. One person talked about it on one call and then it dominoed into one after the other.
They haven’t checked out but at some point at least once a week I have t stop myself and say does it matter you’ll be gone so we’ll just skip x/y/z?
On a team call, My boss said something last week that lead me to believe they have no idea. I was suppose to meet with my boss on Friday and I was going to let them know my button was pushed. But we had to cancel the meeting. It's a week left and many leaders in certain departments do not know! As of next Monday I hope they are aware .. that those folks who have not shut down already will be shut down on the 10th.. so they will not have a lot of prep time for those who are leaving.. now I do know other departments where leaders are aware.. but this does not seem like the majority..
