Believe it or not, -orr, we have cities here in America too. And those cities usually have only two choices- the 'phone' company, AT&T or Verizon, or the CATV company, usually Comc-ap.

We have high prices and globally non competitive service because we no longer have competitive capitalism, we now have a corporate duopoly.

And you get a lot of nice things in return for your higher taxes too. Such as quality medical care that won't bankrupt you and very affordable higher education.

Most people in this country live in cities. Tax the parasitic rich and cut corporate welfare, that is where the money can be found to rebuild the national infrastructure, fix the public schools and give people decent health care.

I’m in Europe right now. I believe I know why that’s the case. 1) many people live in the cities or close to the cities. 2) the countries are much smaller than the us. Many countries are not even as large as one of our states. 2) Europeans pay high taxes do you want that?

What do we get for our money? we pay more but we get less for broadband, that the majority of U.S. lag behind their international peers, paying more money for slower Internet access, and bad service
