Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Cutting Randy’s $29 million would be a good start in reducing debt.

Cutting Randall Stephenson's $29,000,000 in total compensation would be a good start in reducing debt. If he is truly serious about reducing AT&T’s debt, he should lead by example and initiate the pay reduction himself. Even better cut the top 4 levels of AT&T’s management salaries. A calculator probably would not even be able to display the total combined compensation of AT&T’s top 4 levels of management. Replace them all with average Joe’s and Jane’s. Joe and Jane are the people that actually pay for AT&T’s services. Joe and Jane know what they want and don’t want, therefore Joe and Jane would do a much better job in Randall’s shoes and would be more than happy with a $200k per year salary.

He should be fired because he has absolutely no leadership ability. Guess this is what they teach in grad school nowadays. Spend like crazy and fire your people to make up the difference. Thank goodness that he has never been a commander in the military. His stupidly would get his whole unit either killed or captured. Bring back real leaders.

It is a myth that the rich are somehow smarter or work harder, in most cases they are just more greedy and more willing to do anything to move up the corporate ladder.

OP is clearly a financial genius. "Replace them all with average Joe's and Jane's". Brilliant. Thanks for the insight. That makes a lot of sense. Go back to your coloring and paste eating now please.

He is one of the higher paid CEO’s for a company that has under performed for several years

Sjk maybe he has not earned it by certain metrics. It’s up to shareholders to demand a change. I’m not opposed to a change at the top. But that id--t saying start paying down the debt by firing randy shows how stupid many of the posters here are. Do you think that 29 mil is enough to get a top notch ceo to come in and save att? Lol.

Fact is Randy does not bring that value to the table, if he was paid for his contribution to the success of the company he would get the pay of a retail store manager.

"mo--n...socialist..stupid" a clever and persuasive way to communicate. I think you need to increase your medication, it obviously is not working. Use that better medical insurance that upper execs have to get a pr-scrip-ion bump.

The hidden insight in this post is the idea to have a shareholder-at-large member on the board. The position could be randomly selected for a 1-year term. It would keep the executives from staying in their ivory tower echo chamber and let them hear directly what normal people care about.

@mfv since you are a big capitalist, tell me how CandyBoy has earned that salary. I mean capitalists are all about pay for performance, right? With his performance, he OWES the company money.

You really are a mo--n. You remind me of the other socialists that say we can have things like marriage ardor last if only the rich would pay a little more. Lets follow what you say. Go ahead zero out Stevenson’s 29 mil (assume you are correct, and btw it’s not all cash) how much will it reduce the 180 plus billion debt? id--t. You should stay way from computers. You are too stupid to use them.
