Well honestly, during a job interview do not mention that you are a single mother with three children to care for. Though some nice Managers like having someone with children in common with them others do not see it as a topic to discuss during a job interview. Also do not mention having sick children to care for during a job interview. These things will put you at the bottom of the hiring list. I know.
If you search the internet you will find lots of job search websites. CareerBuilder.com, for example. There is www.snagajob.com. Also the local unemployment office has a job website to use to search for a new job.
Post your resume on www.indeed.com and monster.com. Make it "visible" to hiring companies.
You will likely get some responses for job interviews. First make your resume more "generic" so that you are not stuck in a certain type of industry, like banking, or a certain specific type of job role.
You do not have to continue to work in the banking industry. Do not limit yourself to such.
I wish I were in Charlotte and could help you. I thought those in Charlotte would have an easier time than those in other regions and now realize that's not the case.

I am frustrated with the situation I have been thrust into but I don't hate my job nor my fellow workers. Wells Fargo has been good to me and my family over the years. I have tried to secure employment in other departments internally and outside the company with no luck. I even applied for my job which was posted at an outside hiring agency and told I was not able to apply?! I am a single mother with three children and do not have the luxury of leaving without having another job secured. Charlotte is going through a hiring rough patch right now, particularly the banking industry, which all of you know if who have been burning the midnight candle searching after a full day at the office.
Very confused. Getting desperate.

A. The job market isn’t that hot for mortgage.
B. Folks with tenure want their severance.
Don't you think we're all trying? The economy is NOT good for several types of roles. Have you been watching the news about this very topic?
Also, for instance, some have reached valuable tenure and benefits levels, while others have sick children and need to focus all energy on them.
How about Kool-Aid drinking trolls focus on unethical executive perpetrators and their over-the-top compensation and not the victimized employees? (a phrase used by the Senate, regulators and media)
You clearly lack compassion, just like WF.
