Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Oath announced that it will miss its goal of $10 Billion in revenue (not even profit) by 2020

A good day to announce it, I suppose. I really don't know how they're going to turn this around. Do they have a real plan here? Are they going to dump it and flush it away like Terremark and the other also-ran acquisitions? I'd love to know that they've got a really hot play here, but I just don't see it. Verizon has a long history of failing to launch outside their core business.

Anyone?

I wonder how/where desirable diverse groups are defined, and how accommodating (In terms of hiring requirements) they are willing to be? Do they do g--/le---an diversity based hiring decisions? Little People hires? How much does the hiring decision bend towards a favored group? Do C-level positions differ?

Oath was Marni Walden's big contribution to Verizon. She's probably out there telling people she didn't get CEO because of s-xism, but under her leadership there were no new products that did any good.

IPTV imploded, go90, HUM.... Oath.

If anyone had been paying attention, they would have noticed that Facebook and Google were both caught juicing their advertising numbers and started dropping advertising revenue, BEFORE Verizon completed the deal for Yahoo.

But hey, I'm just a guy, not a super, financial genius like Lowell and Hans.

Oath was my genius idea and don't forget it!

What bugs me is that the geniuses who come up with this stuff always ride off into the sunset with 50-100 million dollars in the bank and us working stiffs are tricked into fighting with each other about union VS non union BS. I consider lower management in the same boat as my union represented self, which is basically a pawn to the (mostly) bad decisions of upper management.

Oath is a stain on Lowell McAdam's career and reputation that he will never be able to wash out. Like the 2016 strike which also punched a big hole in his hubris. Now the BOD has brought in Hans the Horrible to clean up his mess while protecting the dividend. This is going to get interesting.

An Oath is what you say under your breath when you are getting angry. Obvious how they came up with the name.

Maybe they can bring back go90 to save them.

When do they expect $10B revenue on IoT with ColdChain and the like?
