Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

I'm thankful for leaving Verizon

I'm pretty sure this is my last Thanksgiving at Verizon, and that's the one thing I'm most thankful for. The constant stressing, the uncertainty, the c-appy management... I'm so thankful I'm done with all of that.

Here's to hoping all of those who want out are in a much better company by next year and are able to say they are thankful for getting out of Verizon as well!

I’m glad the universe has decided to keep you a power hungry little parasite, and not allowed you to have a police badge. It’s the creepy little twats just like you at the top of this Co. that make it all so crummy.

I’m also thankful that this will be my last TG with VZ. Last year it was RIF that took my manager

and put my team into a ditch. This year it is VSP and infosys outsource. Everyday since clicking YES my morale has improved. I can now see the heavy toll working at VZ has taken. My only regret is that I didn’t start looking when wireless had its first round of layoffs and I kept drinking the Kool-Aide thinking things would get better.

This is my last thanksgiving at VZ.

Going to Infosys, hopefully next year I will not be working on a VZ account, and have a better job elsewhere.

Good luck to all (except Hans and Shankar)

No layoffs, we'll just make up reasons to write you up until you're gone, 3 people gone at my store just this month.

It is getting ridiculous. They screwed us with the new commission structure and management is getting nastier. Nobody in our district like our DM. Praying for layoffs.

I left the company after 6 years in September and it was the best decision. No more ridiculous stress and working crazy schedules, never seeing family or friends and having to work tirelessly every single holiday/weekend. I am in such a better place now am so much happier. Crazy what this place can do to a person. If you are still grinding away at this job don’t, get out!! You will not regret it.
