I want to know how it's going the receiving area with the new restructure of BRA.

Shrink is the new game in town! All are correct in that knowledge means nothing. However, when most can’t get themselves out of a wet paper bag nor will they even try you end up with shrink. Shrink is a company write off! It simply doesn’t matter. They may look at clubs at a club level but all are thrown in by market. It balances the books. You’ve already participated when your club has cut man hours because other clubs aren’t pulling their weight. Oh, that’s right there’s still a “my club, home club” mentality. Take a step back and look passed your noses folks!
FYi you do get severance
We all were told we all get severance because your position has been eliminated & that is what it states on the severance package so don’t assume to announce on here because the new position is available that the people leaving can’t get severance as you would be wrong.
& the long termers you are calling relics are of more value then you think
& everyones attitude with the negative comments about these people s---s

@3wia receiving and claims were the first allowed to go for the position if they wanted. In order to be denied severance, they must be officially offered a position in the system. Sat down, and click yes or no in the computer.
So they all had the opportunity to try for the position, but it was up to them to go into the wire and try for it. If they didn't then they can't be offered it officially. That's why when you're given these options, and you do not want anything offered ,you go into your career preference and clear it all out.
Will you get your severance???? They did offer all current associates the new backroom job didnt they??? You were the first one offered the job. If you turn it down they can deny you your severance right?
69 years of knowledge! Good, take it to a company who appreciates you and values you. Sam's sure does not. Come on Dec.7th! Merry Christmas to us! We can actually enjoy the Holidays this year.
Nights are (suppose) to leave at 5am day shift comes in at 5am
so speaking of receiving. Do your night receiving shifts overlap the day receiving shifts? Recently management has been scheduling days to come in 1 hour after nights is supposed to leave. This makes it very difficult for nights to leave on time.
Whats up the grumps on here? If leaving doesnt effect you then more than likely you werent apart of the back room associate transition, good for you. Many people that are have been there for many years and worked there butts off. Nobody is wishing you ill even if you are apart and choose to stay. I say good luck to everyone! Happy Thanksgiving all and the count down to Dec 7th is real and Im apart as well.

They're doing us all a favor little do they know. One thing about the internet vs "days gone" knowledge is we can still get the job done in any department with no glitch in our system!

69 yrs of knowledge between the 3 of us who are all taking the severance and leaving. We have yet to see our replacements never mind help train them.
December 7th is quickly approaching when we all walk away leaving with that knowledge while leaving the entire club clueless. Their struggle will be real.
Come back and ask sometime after December 7th. When the others have taken severance. That's how you'll get the real story. Some places will keep things as normal, others are going to be struggling bad... One thing is for sure, a ton of knowledge will have left forever.
We have tried to cross train but with only 2 people and 2 jobs it's hard to find time to learn other job this time of year
Nobody has showed any interest in cross training, everyone continues to work in their own area. Nothing seems to have changed except the title. The hours are the same
About the same. Just getting the work done.
