Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

2nd Time Warner Pending Court Case and Layoffs

When Federal Judge Greene broke up the Bells in the early 1980's he looked at the possible outcome on employees as well as on the public. The Modified final judgement included pension portability allowing employees to keep their pensions and bridge their seniority if they moved between companies. My point is If leadership did not borrow 150 billion dollars for acquisitions would many of us be on this website? Will a DOJ attorney question the company and the court in the next month when it is announced AT&T is laying off what appears to be thousands of employees? Unwinding the TW deal would be a mess but it would sure change all of the Debt Ratios that leadership has had to explain for the last 6 months to Wall Street. For 150 Billion dollars we could have placed fiber to every home and business in 21 states and charged FANG for priority access.................................

Call the 3 DC Circuit Court of Appeals Judges and ask them how many employees will be laid off if they uphold the lower courts ruling on the TW Merger.

Good post and yes I would agree. We haven’t seen as many layoffs as we are going to when the companies fully merge.

@1ja, an interesting post. Not saying you’re wrong about the shortage of cash flow but where do I Google to learn those facts?

AT&T Also borrowed money for share buybacks and dividends from 2014 to 2017, they didn't actually have enough free cash flow to pay it all. Randall and the rest get their $40M every year, that's all that counts.
