Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Article at Bankrate “With the latest Wells Fargo settlement, wronged customers without refunds could get their cut”

Wells Fargo customers seeking restitution

If you’re a Wells Fargo customer and you’re planning to see if you qualify for compensation, it’s best to be prepared. Bring any records that would help you make your case. Take note of anything that’s discussed.

“Any consumer going in there needs to recognize that they need to document every conversation they have, that they should not trust Wells Fargo with what they say, but verify everything that happens and they should continue to push if they’re not satisfied with what Wells Fargo is offering them,” Rheingold says.

😳 wow. I suspect it will be over a decade before we restore trust.

I'm guessing most who have lost their jobs in Mass layoffs are not the ones makeing the below comments as when you dump over 200k workers into the economy what happens there is not enough jobs to fill that need. Also I was in sales for the bank for a long time and never had the pressure of that you all speak of it was their choice to make those decisions to open fake accounts. But we are in a blame the other guy never yourself.

Customers lost their homes, cars, and creditworthiness - and employees lost their livelihoods and careers when they were fired and blacklisted for either succumbing to the pressure put on them to open fake accounts - or refusing to go so.

Yes, innocent people will lose their jobs over this, quite possibly myself included as well as people I care about. But is that a reason to allow a criminal enterprise to stay in business? We will all move on and get new jobs the same way we got this one- hopefully someplace we don’t have to be ashamed of.

To the person who posted “ Way to wish unemployment on hundreds of thousands of people ....”

While you are on to something about a lot of people being punished for something they didn’t do nor contribute to, if the shoe fits wear it. Wells Fargo earned this statement. Period. Your feelings about fear of people being sent to the unemployment office is irrelevant to the people who’s financial lives were ruined by the terrible policies that our leadership enforced. Incase you need a reminder,, people lost their homes, credit worthiness along with financial strain while we were paying bonuses for it. We incentivized these terrible practices. People were promoted and still in advanced roles due to their ability to scam people.

Don’t like seeing news articles beating up your employer? Find a new one, cause we earned it. Oh,, think I’m being too negative? Go talk to a family who were forced into homelessness and see if they feel like I’m being too negative.
