Do we get paid for unused vacation if we quit?

@dbgk If you use days which you haven't yet accrued (which you need supervisor approval to do), then the company will get it's money back when you leave. If you have personal days, use those first.

Personal days are available in whole at the start of the year. Vacation days can be used before they’re accrued but if you leave before you have actually accrued the days, then the company will take back the money from your check. At least that’s what I would think. Check with HR.

In MA you get paid for unused personal days. I just got my check for those on Friday (my last day) in this hell hole

In CA you get paid out for unused personal days (yearly and when you exit). It depends on your state. My understanding is that in most states you don't get paid for them.

not true about personal days. That depends on the state. Some states (MA & CA maybe???) require they be paid.

Yes. Payout for vacation time will have the government 40% vig on it or you can burn it before your exit.
