Maybe also because the Infosys transition is happening during this period. Network access to Verizon servers seems to be a difficult task during this transition

Not sure why people have to be so rude. The question wasn’t about what a moritorium is but why was the typical holiday one extended.
First time I've seen an extension like that in 32 years... by the way, awu.. ? eat sh--e and bark at the moon.
In the telco world, the term "moratorium" is used to describe the time that no changes are allowed to be made to the network, except to fix outages. Normally, these are put in effect during holiday periods or critical useage times. It was originally scheduled to last thru 1/3/19. Hope that helps.
