Microwave 5G is susceptible to rain fade. Heck, fog takes it down.
It will only fail if Hans keeps cutting. Imagine if we would have spent the money from Yahoo on the network. Close the gap in those really small areas

@WHKcHqd-crg because it is being engineered by people who contract all of the design out, implemented by people who have no incentive to succeed, installed by contractors, and maintained by employees who have been told they are the reason the company is going under even though they cant get basic tools to do their job
Sprint spent $5 Billion building out their network, last year. They have two companies building 5G phones for them, Samsung and LG and will be rolling out 5G in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC and Phoenix, in the first half of 2019. Actual phone service, not fake 5G, in four cities, with a hundred homes each.
In the meantime, Verizon has kept itself busy with "cost saving" layoffs, and can't find its butt with both hands and a flashlight.
5g could be good.
In my area there is constant issues with frontier, spectrum and directv service. Storms, flooding, poor and rushed installation plus with so much construction it seems backhoes are digging up lines constantly.
Lots of folks who have been affected more than once will jump to 5G. I’ve been to a few houses with what seems like first generation routers who complain of issues and they are still paying monthly for the router. Getting their own is too hard and they don’t want to call customer service they probably would rather go to a new service provider.
Mostly though I think the providers will really push it as the only option. AT&T/Directv is going to push it over the dish for cheaper install. Eventually you just won’t have another option.
I'm trying to stay positive but who is really going to disconnect from their Google fiber or other internet provider for 5G.. I'm staying I think maybe until next rif. I'm afraid to many eggs in 1 basket.. I hope they prove me wrong I need my job for a few more yrs.

Vz is riding the 3 legged horse in this race to 5G ,ghey better get it right otherwise they will go down the drain with the tidy bowl man..thats a fact..the uppers in VZ are very arrogant..arrogance leads to failure,lets see theirs fails,buying yahoo,Aol,products Hum,go90..the sale of their towers...accumulation of all their debt..we have the best network when the compitition has all caught up ....al arrogance and all FAILS,so they better win this 5G race otherwise your company is screwed ,not that will happen any time soon....think about it
