Has anyone heard anything about a downsize for credit and collections / accounts receivable. We went from about seven centers to two . We take a big hit last December anyone know of anything else?

There are going to be massive layoffs in 2019 at AT&T during the 2nd & 3rd Qtrs. Upwards of 30% (85k employees) and another 15k-35k in 2020. Get your big pants on boys & girls, it’s going to be a bumpy ride...according to my VP it’s going to be a blood bath this year. AT& T has signed contracts with about 10 different companies at the end of 2018 to outsource most call center, network support and remote hands for data centers along with customer installation through Mastec. Soon AT&T will just be a front for dozens of other companies behind the scenes who actually do the work.
Notifications went out on Friday. Grinch delivered the news to our boss on Monday and came in person to ruin lives a week before Christmas. Our group lost 5 and our support group lost 5-7 more/ not sure of the count but only 3 of them left. I’m sure that dude sleeps at night on his pillow of 100 dollar bills and mattress of gold.
Houston 56 service reps of 102, 18 of 18 Dallas rcmac reps, and on and on from just last week.
Probably discovered they could outsource collections to companies who can do it a lot more efficiently and cheaply.
