CDO Lay-off in Jan

Per the Kate Hopkins (VP) webcast yesterday, 5-6% of CDO employees will be surplused, details to come in January. Being physically present in the office - esp a ‘collaboration’ location - was going to be a major factor in the decisions, along with whatever other criteria fits with being a ‘targeted reduction’. She also called out teams who have not yet actively implemented Agile methodology. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

ATT doesn't even call them associates or employees. They call everyone resources.

"Team" . That's cute.

You're not on one. You have a job, they pay you.

You stop working? They stop paying.

They stop paying? You stop showing up.

This whole "team" and "associate" talk is funny.

It's a job. You owe them 8 for 8 or 14 for 14.

They owe you a check.

You could quit tomorrow, they could fire you tomorrow.

You are an employee, they are the employer....nothing more.

Corporate lingo is id--tic.

But just how they want you to think.

"Agile". Typical T, adopt a buzzword, methodology after it's peak. Agile methodology is fine for software development, does not work as well in other areas.

These big data were supposed to save the company and failed. Now its their turn to pay.

@onh, the tides have turned. The business guru’s have now decided we’re “better together”, as sponge bob would say. I can get it if the people in your office are actually part of your team, and that what they are heading for- laying off the people too far, and slowly regrouping teams physically closer. But even then- the open space thing they bought into is so unproductive and distracting.

Why this collaboration push?? For a company that focuses on mobility tha’s a joke. Not to mention the offensive odors & habits of other cultures....
