What are the chances we get some obnoxious email from HR rebranding the 401k match as a year end bonus?
I give it a 100% chance in the long run, but I’m not sure how long it’ll take until people realize that used to be one of the best benefits Honeywell offered.
Well we made it but it does not mean we will get the match for sure. Until it is in your 401K account don't count on it just yet.
Well looks like we made it. Although if you read the FAQ in HR Direct on 401k they point out they could RIF or fire you on December 14th and you don't get the match
Match is due to be paid by end of January per HR Direct information
I'd be happy with just a jelly of the month club. We just bought a brand new Dasaauot Falcon 8X and that aircraft isn't gonna pay for itself; it doesn't fly revenue flights. If they need money they'll just take it from the employees like they always do.

Who’s entitled? If you claim to offer a 401k match, then do what you say and don’t even hint at the possibility of pulling the rug out from your employees. It’s clearly part of the pay package. Reneging on a deal like that would really shiesty as most of us don’t have a gold plated pension (or one at all) and have to rely on our 401ks to pay for retirement. Hopefully that’ll happen someday... haha.
If they do that people will start leaving in droves. Good luck to retention.
After tomorrow then we will see if we even get the match in Jan . More likely they try to back out of it ( for this year , or when next yr) saying even though we have a profit we did not make the numbers we promised wallstreet.
