Verizon successfully tests 5G on commercial hardware

It seems that 5G is coming to life in a commercial sense. In an official press release, Verizon stated that it has tested commercial 5G using a commercial smartphone( Moto Z3) and the commercial 3GPP 5G NR (New Radio) network. The test consisted of browsing the internet and placing a video call using 5G.

5G will not be installed outside cities- very limited range, it's designed for high density.

So if you think it causes cancer, move to a rural area (and then complain about the c-appy internet)

There are things you can do to block the signal (metallic paint and metallic film window tint, for example).

When you're outside, a tin foil hat.

We will not be happy until there is cancer causing 5g signal every 5 feet in this great country where foreigners come in and destroy American jobs, dreams, and brain cells. EXCITING!

I suspect they are taking a page from the AT&T playbook, Going to bump up 4G speeds and turn on a 5G light.

Hahahaha

Theirs a reason they didn't show anything it's a SCAM. Check any of the independent lab test.

baring any new break through in 5G is years away from going mobile. Fix based sure as long as there are no obstructions in the line of site.

Maybe a dozen more Rifs and a merger and Verizon will have money to put in the required infrastructure.

Fantastic! Now let us wait and see how many years and how many billions of dollars it will take to saturate the country with micro-towers.
