Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I have never seen it this bad

I have worked for other Fortune 500 companies, but this is the worst. In my 20 years with the T, I have never seen it so bad. It all started with Randall. He has not a clue. He will never be able to transform this company into a leading media and entertainment company. He is way late to the game. The T way, is to overcharge and bully subscribers. Those days are over. Too many choices out there. People aren't willing to pay that much for TV anymore. Now, if he could find a way to provide free or almost free content and rely on advertising dollars for revenue, instead of screwing everyday people. it might work.

He probably does not want to talk publicly about how he he wants to monopolize content just before the DOJ appeal.

T is trying to play both sides (advertising and paid content). Internally we were told the TW merger was about content, but Randall was telling investors about data mining and advertising in ways he said hadn't been done before. Or, put another way have you pay while they monitor your activity while they sell that information to advertisers.
