I accepted the buyout at 9:00pm Sat. All I did was buy another week of uncertainty. Maybe more info comes out this week to narrow down a decision.
It would be to the company's advantage to start announcing separations prior to 12/10, so that transition planning can begin sooner rather than later. Two and a half-weeks around a company holiday with lots of people on vacation does not provide much time for knowledge transition.
If you read the faq, it says “ notify by 12/10” . Wonder how many may be notified right after the 17th. They may not wait until the 10th to notify us.
I wonder if I should rescind my offer

We already have a new director
They are already trying to force people out to avoid paying the buyout. Trying to create attendance and discipline problems out of nowhere. Good luck everyone!

We've already been introduced to our new manager... so some are being proactive.
I'm excited for 12/10 and beyond when everyone knows who wants the fsck off the Vtrain. That's when those who stay can consider things like backfill and the multiplication of workload. All that fluffy little filler work is going away.
I’ve heard a lot of people saying they are worried about not getting it or having to stay till June.
My only guess is they have a job line up.
December 10th is when most of us will start to know anything. I’m sure November 10th and more so on November 17th they’ll start doing their wedding reception seating planning on who goes where.
