Once again the comments about only stateside contractors or egs are not correct. We have had several fte hired in the last year yes we have had cuts but there is no freeze on hiring stateside as has been mentioned several times.

I was a customer before I became a team member as a result of a merger. I’m almost afraid to bank there anymore, and once I’m let go and the fees start piling on I won’t be.

The good people they have are looking to get out, and now who would take a job there unless they were desperate? Nobody who is already working would leave a job for years of insecurity. They’re going to have to settle for people with few options. And their current employees are not committed.

What does that mean for service and account security?

Depends on your leadership and teams in regards to EGS or state side. Some teams can only hire stateside contractors. With all the talk of HUBS and personnel needing to be at Datacenters, we will see what the next two weeks bring. Sad that for the next 3 years 250k plus people have to fear 2 weeks per month as there is no road maps on the lay offs.

The comment about not hiring stateside in four years is false our area has had several stateside hires in theblastb4 years

Perhaps the Wells Fargo business leaders who interact with the IT technicians can start working the night shift, and middle of the night shift, in the USA so that the India IT workers will be available to meet with them during their India daytime work shift hours? That would go over very well I expect.

The thing is that most of the IT people from overseas, like in India, are asleep during the USA Wells Fargo business work day hours. Someone has to run the IT ship during the USA daytime hours when the work needs to be done. Otherwise it is just emails to people who will do things overnight as the USA workers sleep. Meeting in person with offshore workers does not coincide with the USA daytime work schedule very well, either very early morning or very late night in the USA. The USA business leaders want their IT problems solved right away, during USA work day hours but there are now less and less IT technical analysts available during the USA work day hours to resolve such IT issues. It will just have to wait for tomorrow with the IT outsourced to India. Not a good communication channel there.

To be expected since no one has been able to hire a stateside person in 4 years.

2 techs and 1 manager just got the paper, leaving 5 techs without a manager. Wonder where we 5 remaining techs will be shipped to.

At least you’re getting info. In marketing it’s all averted eyes and deafening silence.

We had a similar meeting this afternoon. Told the layoffs will be taking place over the next few weeks. Curious which departments will be impacted and how many people!?! I guess if you have not heard anything yet...it may be a positive!! Best to all!!!

Happy Holiday's!!

Our PMO just received notice that the layoffs have ended their pause and are beginning again. Our group will know by the end of the month who is leaving. They will be given a 60 day notice just in time for the holidays. We interviewed for our jobs (the one we have been doing for years) in October someone thought that was a great idea.

They started Wednesday. One manager and 12 techs that I know of in my group were let go and that's only what I heard of, I'm sure there are lots more, and much more to come throughout IT. You will either get a meeting request that has your manager and maybe a few others people like your managers MGR, or someone that you don't know (HR). If you get one of those, pretty much guaranteed you are being let go. But if you get a meeting request that has your manager and your entire group, then you made the cut for the time being.
