Layoffs downplayed in articles

Did you notice that most of the articles talking about Verizon reorganization barely mention layoffs?

It's impossible that none of the journalists know we'll be seeing huge cuts as part of it, so why exactly is nobody writing about it?

Are layoffs not hot enough a subject these days?

i got news for you.

you will not get sympathy for up to 35 weeks pay for not working.

there are people out there that are under employed or unemployed all together.

fast food and uber workers being underpaid are a better news story than overpaid white collar workers being offered dozens of weeks of severance you dumm1e!

Not a layoff is the reason why, not yet. If they said 25% layoffs that would probably raise some news. As soon as they use "buyout", ppl think it's good for the employee and leave it alone.
