Here’s one final warning from those in the know in BR, take the VSP. Winter is coming! Major RIFs in 1Q19 for those still in shrinking areas of the business. Severance will not match the VSP in any sense. Unemployment at record lows, so VSP is the better deal.

They care about the business, but they also know we can get by with a lot less headcount. They'll let things shake out and work with what's left. Sort of a passive way to get to a solution but these guys must not know really what to do so its the next best thing.
Do you really think there are going to reject anyone who volunteers? They are looking at a number game. The don't care that whole applications or areas of the business will have no one left. They only care about the bottom line. Customers do not matter and are not a priority in this company no matter how many times they tell you differently.
Hey you can always click to accept and give yourself another 7 days to see what happens.. that's if you are on the fence.. I'M OUT... HOPEFULLY
Why take the VSP and save someone else from being RIF'd? Think about that too.
"Anyone RIF'd before July gets the VSP."
I believe it states that if you signed up for the VSP and are NOT accepted: If you are RIF'd before July, you will still get the VSP.
However, if you do not sign up for the VSP, and you later (before July) get RIF'd, you will receive the standard package.
It's hidden in there, and in funky words....but, it's there.
Kmj only if they opted in for the VSP and were not originally selected to leave.. if they did not opt in.. they are a$$ed out..
Only if you volunteer for it and are rejected
Anyone RIF'd before July gets the VSP.
