Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Has Wells Fargo learned that it can’t push the employees too far?

Maybe there will be no more layoffs at Wells Fargo now since the company seems to be "bouncing back" like a new baby from it's prior operating procedures and policies. Wells Fargo Management has learned that it cannot push it's internal employees too far, demanding weekend and overtime work with no pay, overloading the employees with more work than they can possibly accomplish in a given deadline and trying to force the employees to meet unrealistic sales goals that are only a "dream" for someone managing the bottom line profits. Wells Fargo Management "Gets Real", it now understands the implications of a too forceful, over powering, bottom line profit only mentality for their operations. Employees are humans and not computers.

Whish this was true, but I have my doubts. Either way, thought this was a good post ( @W0CXb11-xud ) that needs its own thread

I am in home lending also and I have 2 files in my pipeline. I can't wait for them to pull the trigger.

I spend half of my day looking at jobs externally from my cellphone.

They may have learned not to force employees to meet unrealistic sales goals by cheating, but that’s because they got caught, not because they care about people.

Remember Carrie Tolstedt’s words - “There’s always somebody who wants to work at Wells Fargo.” That was the attitude then, and it’s the attitude now. You’re replaceable. You don’t matter.

As for the layoffs, those take time. They have to identify targets, warn the state, get packages together, etc. They gave themselves three years, not 3 weeks. And they have to look at severance. Right now it’s two weeks per year completed. They have to figure out how to screw the long time employees out of that money.

So don’t kid yourself. They haven’t cleaned up their act. They’re just looking at how to most Effeciently and Effectively clean house.

As much as I wish that was true, here in Mortgage we are WAY over staffed. Some pipelines are as low as 3 loans and monthly closings are down to 2-3 a person. No company would continue to lose money by keeping un productive offices open

Good luck to everyone
