They provided a list of every VP and the titles under them with the # of people of every age.
It's way more than just IT, I see titles associated with strategic planning, accounting, financial, project management, auditing, billing, system engineering, network engineering, Operations (big numbers in NOC and field operations), Call centers, business operations, marketing, sales, more big numbers in Gov Cus Ops & account management, learning & development (and other HR titles), legal, and even some security related titles.

Pretty much everyone who is not a retail/sales employee: IT, facilities, support positions, etc etc etc.
I think wrt was referring to the (rumored) retention packages, which some in VDSI got, where they did indeed get offered something to stay
@wrt... there is only the one severance package, not 2. If you stay, you stay...you get nothing financially extra.
People in HR are being advised to take the offer.

Did any IT employees in the US get package to stay? I thought that was only for VDSO
So clarification, the 2,500+ IT employees sold to Infosys are not eligible for the package. They get nothing other than a kick out the door by Vz and given one year with Infosys where they will be s---ed of their knowledge in that one year and put out the door.
The package when to everyone remaining behind in IT and many different organizations. It was offered to employees of all ages and people with one or more years with the company. Only those that received the email get it. Then some in IT were offered another package not to take the severance package and to remain with the company. One package to leave and one package to stay. Many of us are taking and leaving.
No I work in a call center and manage consultants and it was offered to my entire management work group in mid Atlantic. We fall under VCM Verizon Consumer Markets.
