Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Membership/Marketing

Any updated information on Memvership layoffs. There are lots of offers online for memberships now. Seems to be fewer sign ups in field these days. Nothing has been posted lately concerning layoffs for field associates. Maybe there is no need for concern now?

@VuDI0wT Why would the marketing team at your club not be allowed to go out anymore! We are still going out everyday. That doesnt make sense

With the new update coming to sales pro allowing access to mtracks through sales pro it will make it easier for the company to turn it over to a 3rd party.

I feel bad for the marketing ladies in my club, they are not allowed to go out anymore (per CM). They walk around the aisles or stand at a table making announcements and passing out stuff. Sometimes they help electronics with members. They look miserable, I would use my PTO and apply for jobs.

Jobs will go away and wages will transition into club pick up which is the future. Even the best marketing departments don’t show an ROI

She should've stayed for the severance. She's trying to win a losing battle.

Just because there are no posts doesn't mean there's no need for concern. All this stuff on here is rumor until it happens. We can think receiving is next but instead they lay off meat cutters. It's always best to have your resume updated. If you're noticing your position is not needed as much, better believe your day is coming. All the positions will be gone soon enough anyway.
