Who’s to say we wouldn’t be rebadged like IT?

Good question, and the answer is you don't. Once they get done streamlining the company it will be a shell of it's former self and those lucky few that are left will be totally stressed out from worrying about their jobs from the multiple rounds of layoff's and the extra work load that will be left for them. A gambling person would sit and wait it out hoping they'll be still around when the smoke settles... I noticed that the people who worry the most are those with less technical jobs, if anyone is in this group you need to seriously consider that your roll can be easily replaced with cheaper labor. No matter how old you are "unless your about to retire" you need to start taking certification classes & learning new skills to prepare yourself for your next job.

Easy - you don't. Many, many years ago, Sprint did the same kind of rebadging to IBM of all the IT work. IBM promised the world and totally under delivered. Many were asked to come back and decided to stick with IBM and have had much better careers. The end result was that the short sighted grasp for profit saw an epic loss of the deep knowledge required to run a successful telecom and it took them a decade to recover. Sadly for those Verizon IT folks, Infosys ain't no big blue and their long term prospects are going to dwindle in a hurry. Usually these deals require the rebadging company to keep people around for 12 months. After that, they'll be canon fodder for the next Infosys layoff.
