I'm guessing 50%.
I think 20k too
20,000+ easily.
When they did the last the enhanced buyout in 2003, they were targeting 10,000, and over 23,000 took the offer! Ironically, I saw many recent college grads only 3-5 years removed from school jump on the offer and skip out the door smiling all the way. They saw Verizon for what it was and new they wanted a more exciting, challenging and dynamic work environment. Not sure how most made out, but several I kept in touch with said it was best move they could have made at the time and had no regrets.
100% of the employees in my cube took the offer.
17,000
All management with more than one year of service received the offer.
If you volunteer and they don’t select you... and you are rifd before June 28, you get the enhanced package. But you have to volunteer.
Its too big of a risk not taking it if you are getting a substantial amount. There's too many unknown factors. If they don't hit the magic number when will the cuts start? They can RIF you in January and you don't get the money. You also don't know how these changes will affect salaries and comp going forward.

I was mostly for it last week but now mostly against taking it,....seems like those over 25 are miffed they did not get any sort of additional recognition than someone with 20 yrs. I suspect people the majority of employees that take it will be between 10-27 years of service... then 15% will come from the 28 years and over. 10 % will come from 10-20 years ,, just my thoughts... It is difficult to know what to do... does anyone have any sort of tool or spreadsheet to load analytics? Pros and cons? TY

Thank you!
Oh, and it doesn't have names of individuals- only organization VPs and above, job titles, ages and # of individuals of each age it was sent to.

It's a PDF, based on a spreadsheet.
(have to be on corporate network)
Where does one find the spreadsheet showing the list of people?
10k - and that meets the target
According to the spreadsheet, roughly 44,500 employees were given the notice... I don't know how many were told they weren't eligible out of that number... but I'm going to guess about 25-30% will jump on it... mostly those above 55yo, with 20+ years of service. Just as they had hoped.
I heard they were shooting for 20%.
It's going to vary wildly by group. Mine is mostly low tenure so I don't expect any takers. I've heard of other groups around the company where the majority want to take it.
102% ? 🤔
13.2%
How many employees were offered the package. I would think around 10% would take it
